{"id":124,"date":"2017-09-10T18:05:43","date_gmt":"2017-09-10T18:05:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/re\/primary2bps\/?p=124"},"modified":"2017-09-10T18:05:43","modified_gmt":"2017-09-10T18:05:43","slug":"wk-beg-11-09-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/re\/primary2bps\/2017\/09\/10\/wk-beg-11-09-17\/","title":{"rendered":"Wk Beg 11.09.17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good evening, I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.\u00a0\u00a0Please find below homework news and class updates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Homework<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This week is Maths week and as such there will be no reading or spelling homework.\u00a0\u00a0We will still enjoy ERIC time (Tuesday) and read and munch (Friday).\u00a0Children have\u00a0enjoyed sharing a variety of stories with myself and Primary\u00a06G.\u00a0\u00a0Please note\u00a0pupils can bring along comics, magazines, or children&#8217;s newspapers to read in class as well as books.<\/p>\n<p>Children will be issued with their word walls this week and\u00a0focus\u00a0words will be highlighted.\u00a0We would like your child to practise reading and recognising\u00a0these\u00a0words.\u00a0\u00a0They may do more than the words highlighted if they wish.<\/p>\n<p>In class we will be revising our first 3 sounds &#8211; sh, th and ch &#8211; as well as the spellings of our common words. \u00a0This can also be done at home.\u00a0\u00a0Here is a link to the game the children have been playing in class to learn their sounds. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ictgames.com\/forestPhonics\/fullV_public\/index.html\">http:\/\/www.ictgames.com\/forestPhonics\/fullV_public\/index.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pupils will be issued with a maths bingo sheet on Monday for homework and can complete as many tasks as they wish.\u00a0 Sumdog is proving very popular in Primary 2C and all\u00a0children should now have their usernames and passwords in their homework diaries. Please let me know if\u00a0your child does not have their details and I will provide a copy for you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>News<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This week is Maths week and the children will be involved in lots of fun maths activities. \u00a0 On Thursday 14th September we plan to walk to the coop. \u00a0The pupils are allowed to bring \u00a31 to spend if they wish. \u00a0We will also be recording some prices and working with a partner to note down different items and prices in the shop. \u00a0We are looking for 2 adult helpers to join us if possible. \u00a0We will be going between 9:30 and 10:30. \u00a0If you think you can help please pop a note in the bag or diary on Monday night and I will get back to you as soon as possible with arrangements. Thank you in advance.<\/p>\n<p>Pupils were given a brown envelope on Thursday containing letters.
