Good evening, I hope you all had a great weekend.\u00a0 Homework and news as follows:<\/p>\n
Homework<\/strong><\/p>\n Spelling sounds this week are oi and oy as in soil and joy.\u00a0 There will be a new spelling grid out into bookbags this week.\u00a0 1 activity from the grid should be completed each week if possible.\u00a0 This can replace or add to the sentence job normally completed on a Wednesday.<\/p>\n Reading books continue.<\/p>\n Maths homework will be looking at 1 hour before and 1 hour after times.<\/p>\n New wordwalls out on Monday.\u00a0 These will be checked on Thursday 3rd May.<\/p>\n News<\/strong><\/p>\n Big pedal starts on Monday 23rd April and will run for 2 weeks until Thursday 3rd May.\u00a0 Children are encouraged to bring in a bike or scooter each day.\u00a0 A helmet must be worn when riding bikes.\u00a0 Bikes and scooters can be parked up the stairs near the railing at our classroom door.\u00a0 This way we can see them and access them from the classroom easily.\u00a0 We will be outside each day for Big pedal.\u00a0 If your child does not bring a bike or scooter they will be encouraged to run, skip, jump etc during Big pedal time.<\/p>\n Topic<\/strong><\/p>\n We started our new Africa topic on Friday.\u00a0 We talked about what we already know about Africa and on Monday we will discuss what we would like to find out about in this topic.\u00a0 We may also have a little visitor to our class this week………..<\/p>\n Reading Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n If your child has been taking part in the First Minister’s reading challenge, completed booklets should be returned by Friday 27th April.\u00a0 If you have lost your passport or forgotten to fill it in, pop a note of the approximate amount of books your child has read since August and I will add it to the class total.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/p>\n Have a great week and thank you for all of your support.<\/p>\n Mrs Fulton\/ Mrs MacKenzie<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Good evening, I hope you all had a great weekend.\u00a0 Homework and news as follows: Homework Spelling sounds this week are oi and oy as in soil and joy.\u00a0 There will be a new spelling grid out into bookbags this week.\u00a0 1 activity from the grid should be completed each week if possible.\u00a0 This can … Continue reading P2R wk beg 23.04.18<\/span>
