Homework:<\/p>\n
Spelling: This week our sounds are ‘oi’ as in noise, soil, boil and ‘oy’ as in toy, boy, employ.\u00a0A spelling challenge grid will be issued tomorrow – this can be found in your child’s homework jotter.<\/p>\n
Wordwalls:\u00a0 Wordwalls will be issued tomorrow. These will be heard fortnightly. Children have been working very hard on their common words – if you are able, please ask your child to use them in a sentence.<\/p>\n
Reading: New reading books will be issued this week.<\/p>\n
Maths: We have been\u00a0learning about halving shapes, patterns and numbers.\u00a0A\u00a0sheet will be issued for homework.\u00a0Here is the link to a game that can be played at home\u00a0– there is a section for halves.<\/p>\n

Class news:<\/p>\n
Big Pedal: We will be outdoors everyday this week to take part in the Big Pedal.\u00a0Helmets must be worn on bikes and it would be safer if children with scooters wore helmets too, however that is up to individual parents. Bikes will be stored in the section of playground outside our classroom during the day.<\/p>\n
Reading Challenge:\u00a0\u00a0If possible could everyone please return their reading passports to me\u00a0by Friday 27th April?\u00a0 This means I can total up the number of books read by our class this year.<\/p>\n
