End of the year

Hello all,

Can you believe it is the end of Primary 1. The time has flown by. I would like to  take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your continued support throughout the year.

Helping the children grow and learn is a great privilege. I have enjoyed teaching the children of Primary 1 E 2018/19.  We have had a busy fun packed year from making a carriage for Cinderella, to building water gauges to catch rainfall. It has been wonderful to work with your children.

I hope you all have a fantastic summer! I wish all the children the best for Primary 2.

Missing lunch box

Hi there,

We have a missing lunch box in Primary 1.  Could you please check the name on any lunch boxes you may have at home. The missing lunch box is a navy blue smiggle lunch box with orange detailing. It does have the child’s name on it. If found could it please be returned to P1E.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Friday Fun Day

What an excellent time we had on Friday. All star fitness came to the school and provided lots of fun activities. Throughout the day the children had an opportunity to play on some inflatables, use child friendly gym equipment, participate in some yoga activities and we even had a Teddy Bears Picnic!

Another post will follow with some photos!

week beginning 10.06.19

Hello, hope you had a lovely weekend.

Our fun day is this Friday, if you have not already returned the slip regarding lunch for Friday please do so by Tuesday. Could we also ask for all money to be handed in by Tuesday.

This week’s homework is as follows

Maths

Continue with the booklet – please remember it is only one page a week. The date is at the top of each page.

Recently we have explored using positional language, measuring weight, number word and money.  Below are a few online games you could let your child play which link to the recent maths concept covered.

Literacy

Please continue to read the library book with your child for enjoyment.

Your child should also have a reading book and wordwalls. Please continue with these.

Heart start

At the end of last week the children had a heart start lesson. We explored what children can do in an emergency which is appropriate for their age. The children were also told how important it is for them to know their address. Therefore part of the homework this week is for the children to fill in the post card with their address and for the children to remember their address. There is a link below with the video we watched with the children. Feel free to watch this with your child.

Library visit

This week we are planning on going to the library on Thursday 13th. We will be heading to the library straight after break, 10.45. We should hopefully be back for 11.30. We would like to have 2 parent helpers for each class, 4 in total. If you could let us know by Monday or Tuesday that would be great.

Thank you
