Homework this week
Maths – choose one of the activities dotted on the maths sheet
Sounds – new sounds qu and ou. These are tricky new sounds so try your best to learn them! Please continue to practise all sounds and maybe make up some words with them.
Wordwalls – continue with the highlighted words
Reading book – your child has a new reading book. It is really important to try to hear reading each night and to use the Three Sharings.
Could we please ask that you check your child’s bookbag every night? We check them every morning and we are finding important letters and invitations to parties which have not been seen. Please remove anything you feel is no longer relevant.
A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard on their Scottish Poems, (including parents!) . The children were an absolute credit to you and as part of the Curriculum, performing in front of an audience can be daunting but it is a great skill to learn and they made us very proud with the confidence they displayed. Well done everyone!
Next Wednesday is Global Play Day. The children can bring in a toy/game from home but as previously indicated, it cannot be battery operated or electronic. We will be going outside to play, weather permitting, so please ensure your child comes to school with warm coats, hats, scarves and gloves. We are really looking forward to this!
As always, any questions, please ask.
