What to bring…

Kit List

    • Small ruck sack – pupils use it with every activity
    • One suitcase or large bag
    • Water Bottle – to be used throughout the week
    • Packed Lunch Box.
    • Wet Shoes – old trainers or cheap wet shoes
    • Dry shoes – trainers
    • Waterproof trousers and jacket – light weight dries easier
    • Swimming costume/shorts
    • Jacket
    • Long sleeve t-shirts
    • Gloves (needed for dry ski slope)
    • Lots of old clothes and layers!!! Trousers, leggings, jumpers, tops, t-shirts etc
    • Barsail Leavers hoodie – most children wore this travelling to Loch Insh last year
    • Nightwear
    • Underwear
    • Sunscreen and sunglasses – we are hopeful! The glare from the loch can cause sunburn even if it is not particularly warm.
    • Hat and scarf – prepare for all weather!
    • Disco outfit. Last year it was a lovely night and there was a beach party instead.
    • Towels – bath towels and hand towel LOCH INSH DO NOT SUPPLY TOWELS
    • Socks (lots of them!)
    • Toothbrush
    • Toothpaste
    • Shampoo/conditioner
    • Shower gel / soap
    • Deodorant
    • Sanitary products (if necessary)
    • Hair dryer – can be shared with friends in the same room
    • Insect repellent
    • Spare toilet roll
    • Alarm clock (one per room)
  • You may want to send a camera, torch, lip cream, books, snacks, playing cards, iPod (as long as it doesn’t connect to the internet) etc 

DO NOT BRING

  • Please have names on all items and ensure the children know what belongings they have with them. Every year we have a bag of unclaimed items at the end of the week.
  • No Mobile Phones, ipods with internet connectivity, Irons, Hair Straighteners
  • Expensive items e.g. jewellery, electrical equipment
  • No football strips.  Wet suits and safety gear such as life jackets and helmets are provided by Loch Insh.
