We are absolutely delighted to announce that have won both Bronze and Silver awards for Emotion Works. We are the first school in Renfrewshire to win both awards so this is fantastic. Emotion Works is an educational programme and an organisation that puts learning at the heart of emotional health and well-being. Emotion works helps to develop children’s emotional literacy and form connections with their own experiences, both, inside and
outside school.
In order to promote pupil leadership a group of children have taken on the role of becoming Emotion Work leaders and have they have helped to embed a positive ethos within Lochfield. All our children have been learning about emotional behaviour, emotions, triggers and regulation strategies. Our tracking of this has evidenced that there has been a marked improvement in the emotional literacy of our pupils are we are very proud of this.
