Developments continue apace at Johnstone. New posts have been created and pupils appointed to important roles throughout the school. Johnstone High pupils have continued to excel in sports outside school, with Leon Drynan becoming one of the youngest winners in indoor Snowboarding and Rebecca Adams with Declan Shaw achieving national success. Head Teacher Report 11th September 2017
A packed session ahead with lots of exciting developments. Perhaps one of the most exciting of these, is the Columba 1400 project involving S3 this session. Other year groups haven’t been forgotten though. Our successful Ardentinny visit is due to the depart soon and the quick start to the year couldn’t have happened as smoothly with the great participation of our S6 leadership team.

As usual it’s been another busy year, made even busier by the inspection from Education Scotland and all the changes planned for the future. Get the latest news on what’s been happening at Johnstone. New staff have been appointed. The pupils have been involved in lots of fundraising events and a special mention must go to Morgan Spence who is doing wonderful work in stop go animation. Check out his new film supporting Paisley’s bid to become UK’s City of Culture in 2021. School improvement still continues after the last inspection – We’re still awaiting their report – and building program is ongoing. Amongst other new congratulations must go to Miss Mitchell who won the Renfrewshire Council Staff Awards – Young Achiever of the Year 2016 for her work with pupils S1-6 and in particular her advanced higher class. Parent Council Meeting 28th November
A Headteacher reports! Major staffing changes have been taking place. We’ve said sad farewells to long standing hard working staff that have contributed so much to make Johnstone High School what it is today. We’re also welcoming or will welcome new dynamic members who will help carry the school into the future. There’s also been an inspection taking place about which we hope to tell more in the near future. There have been many pupil events and and find out more about the on-going school improvement and building plan.

Headteacher’s Report 25th April 2016
Mrs Hollywood presented the following report at the Parent Council meeting on the 25th.
It covers a broad selection of topics affecting the school, from staffing through to preparation for the forthcoming exams via the extensive steps taken to get the pupils view’s at all levels on what the school’s values and aims should be as part of the school’s review. Mrs Hollywood is also delighted to announce that the Dance studio has been completed and provides an update on other improvements to the school, chiefly to the school entrance.
