3D Island Project

In our class novel Kensuke’s Kingdom, Michael finds himself stranded on a desert island. Pupils were challenged to design a desert island of their own, in coop learning groups.

Pupils had to create a flag, devise island laws and used maps and atlases to identify its location.

The islands were created using a card base, paper mache and acrylic paint.

Don’t they look fantastic?

Motivation Wall

As a Health and Wellbeing and Art & Design/ ICT curricular homework task, pupils were asked to research an inspirational/ motivational quote and design a poster to show this. These are now on display outside our classroom in the school corridor and we have already had lots of children and staff commenting on how lovely they are.

Bonjour!

Our current class topic is about the country of France!

Together we created a Learning Plan to show what we know already, what we’d like to know more about and how we could share our learning.

So far, we have learned about the location of France and its culture, its famous landmarks and school life. We are looking forward to learning more about French life and tasting some delicious French foods!

Au revoir!

The Worm Inspectors

Primary 6/5 have been involved with “The Worm Inspectors” Eco Drama organisation.

The Worm Inspectors hosted a drama production where they explored the role of worms within the natural world and how to make your own compost.

The children were then invited back to create their own wormery which will be located within the school greenhouse. They will be responsible for the maintenance of the wormery and the duty of care to Inchinnan Primary’s new friends “The Worms”.
