We used word paint to make these fun pictures.
The class loved The Sheep-Pig. A beautiful story about following your dreams, believing in yourself and the importance of good manners.
School Show
Thanks to all the primary 5 pupils who worked so hard to make the show a success and to the parents who helped out with costumes, transport etc. Also a great big thanks to the p4 pupils and parents who came along and supported the event. It will be your turn in 2 years time!
Tom’s Midnight Garden
Great to hear at parents’ night that the vast majority of the class have been enjoying this book and it was good to hear all the different ways parents have been sharing and supporting their children.
P5/4 Assembly
Reminder that tomorrow is Primary 5/4’s assembly at 9.45am. Tea and coffee will be available for parents from 9am.
I am so sorry to be missing the assembly but I was lucky enough to attend the rehearsal today and I can tell you that you are in for a great morning! I have two senior pupils set to film the assembly so I can watch it back and we can share it on the website or seesaw for parents who can’t make it!
Good Luck P5/4!
Recent happenings in p5/4
Scottish afternoon pictures:
- My love is like a red red rose-made Mrs Cunningham greet!
- Feels like I’m in love
- Little nap rap
- Farewell to Glasgow
Since then we have had our local MSP Derek McKay in to talk to the class, we are busy campaigning in our mock election and p5 children have been auditioning for roles in the Pied Piper.
Diwali customs
We learned all about the customs of Diwali.
Rangoli art. Diwali topic.
As part of ourRME topic which created Rangoli designs which are made outside people’s homes at Diwali to attract Lakshmi. We used our knowledge of symmetry to make them authentic.
I have been reading to the class more frequently and am currently reading Matilda to them. At last they can find out why I chose Miss Honey to dress up as for Roald Dahl day.
Here is an example of a storyboard done to show understanding of Livingstone’s 11 years as a missionary.
