What does Home Link Do?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Home Link Service offers support to children and families throughout Renfrewshire through their Early Years<\/strong>,\u00a0Primary<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Secondary<\/strong>\u00a0school years.<\/p>\n

Secondary School Support:\"\"<\/p>\n

How can Home Link staff help children and young\u00a0people?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Children may need support for a variety of reasons:<\/p>\n

*Changes at home such as bereavement, ill health or family break up.<\/p>\n

*Difficulties with friendships or other issues within the school\/early years setting.<\/p>\n

*Transition from early years to primary school, primary to secondary school and when leaving school.<\/p>\n

*Support to manage emotions and distressed behaviours.<\/p>\n

*To improve their achievement and attendance at school.<\/p>\n

Support can be given one to one or in a group.<\/p>\n

How can Home\u00a0Link staff\u00a0help parents?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Parents are the most important people in a child\u2019s life and Home Link staff are committed to working in partnership with parents to make sure that children achieve as much as they can at school and beyond.<\/p>\n

Sometimes parents or children feel more comfortable meeting in their own home.\u00a0 Home Link staff are happy to visit parents at home.<\/p>\n

Being a parent is very rewarding but it can be challenging.\u00a0 Parents might welcome some tips on how to manage children\u2019s emotions or behaviour.\u00a0 Home Link staff can offer support on a one to one basis or in a parents\u2019 group.\u00a0 There are a variety of parenting programmes on offer and Home Link staff can also put parents and young people in touch with other services such as counselling , benefits advice and local activity groups.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
