It gives continuity to children&#8217;s learning as the Curricular Areas remain the same throughout the child\u2019s education And encourages them to learn life long skills.<br \/>\nThere are 8 Curricular Areas which the children have opportunities to learn and develop within throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>They are: Language &amp;Literacy, English, Mathematics &amp; Numeracy, Science, Expressive Arts, Health &amp; Wellbeing, Religious &amp; Moral Education, Social Studies and Technologies<\/p>\n<p>The Four Capacities<br \/>\nIt is our aim that the children who attend Glenburn ELCC will successfully develop within the Four Capacities of Curriculum for Excellence and become Successful Learners, Responsible Citizens, Confident Individuals and Effective Contributors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Curriculum for Excellence is the new Scottish curriculum which spans the ages 3 to 18.
