It is also recognised as one of the main ways of supporting the needs of children and young people who have experienced ACES and trauma (2).<\/p>\n<p>Renfrewshire\u2019s Nurturing Relationships Approach (RNRA) emphasises that relationships are at the heart of nurturing approaches and provides an implementation process for establishments to develop nurturing relationships across schools, ELCCs and communities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is Renfrewshire\u2019s Nurturing Relationships Approach?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 RNRA increases knowledge of attachment theory and an understanding that early experiences can have a significant impact on development.<br \/>\n\u2022 RNRA helps staff to understand the key importance of nurturing relationships to children and young peoples\u2019 mental health and wellbeing, social and emotional development and attainment.<br \/>\n\u2022 RNRA supports Staff to put key principles of nurturing practice in place across their establishment.<\/p>\n<p>Renfrewshire\u2019s Nurturing Relationships Approach (RNRA) is a relational and trauma informed approach to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. RNRA is grounded in a rich evidence base and has been found to positively impact on staff practice and the wellbeing of children and young people (Nolan, 2020).
