All plastic containers that we have from our snack are collected throughout the week, counted and disposed\u00a0of in the\u00a0appropriate bin. All paper goes into our paper recycling bin which is situated within the creative area\u00a0and is then put in the\u00a0appropriate bin\u00a0as and when\u00a0required. We also have a food waste bin situated within the social zone; this bin is used at both snack times and lunch where the children\u00a0are responsible for\u00a0disposing of any leftover food.\u00a0The children are highly encouraged throughout the day to use the correct bins.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">You may also notice, next to the entrance gate outside we\u00a0have got\u00a0a clothing donation bank. Please feel free to use this to donate any old clothes,\u00a0children\u00a0or adults you may have. When the bin is full, the company come an empty it, weight how much we\u00a0have,\u00a0and we receive\u00a0a small donation which goes towards\u00a0maintaining\u00a0our garden allotment\u00a0throughout the year.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Within the garden, our children help to grow our own fruit\u00a0and vegetables which is sometimes used for snack\u00a0and plants to help bring wildlife \u2013 bees, butterflies, etc.-\u00a0into the garden. When using\u00a0the grown produce\u00a0for snack, children\u00a0help to prepare this food, taking responsibility in looking after the environment and preparing healthy foods.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">What you can do at home.<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">At home, if you\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0already do so, you could encourage your children to put packaging,\u00a0paper\u00a0or food in the\u00a0appropriate bin.
