Schools out for summer, but Renfrewshire Leisure is not!
This summer, kids between the ages of 5-14 can enjoy a range of different sports, themed days, arts and crafts at Renfrewshire Leisure’s Summer Activity Camps. There are endless activities across the whole summer holidays in the Lagoon, On-X Linwood, Renfrew Sports Centre, Johnstone Community Sports Hub and Park Mains.
The aim is simple; for children to have fun while becoming more active! Building on the success of previous Summer, Spring and October camps, these popular school holiday camps are run by highly trained and enthusiastic staff.
The camps run from 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday from 3rd July to 11th August, but there are also two options for an extended stay for your child. The early risers’ club runs from 8am-10am and the afternoon kids’ zone runs from 3pm to 5pm.
Activity Camp places fill up quickly so book online now to avoid disappointment or alternatively call our centres on 0300 300 0250.
The Sports Day tomorrow will take the form of “Potted Sports”, groups of pupils trying lots of different sports. Children are asked to come to school in their sportswear as the programme will start at 9.15 am sharp. Due to the weather forecast the events will mainly take place inside, and as it is a joint campus event unfortunately there will be no space for spectators. Pupils are asked to bring a bottle of water with them.
Well done P2 you were all superstars ⭐️ last night and you gave your absolute all in both our performances! Such talented singers and dancers!
I loved your ‘attitude faces’!
We even got time to create some summer art while we we were waiting on our turn.
Don’t know which one I would like to try first 🍦
The P7 Valedictory Service will be on Monday 26 June at 1.15pm. Reserved seats will be kept at the front for P7 parents.
All parents welcome.
Due to the School Show on Tuesday 20 June the time for lunch will be changed to 11.30 am to 12.15 pm, all pupils will require a packed lunch. Those in receipt of Free Meals can order a packed lunch from the school canteen.
Primary 2 decided to turn our imaginative area into a ‘Beach Shop”. We brainstormed what we could put in our shop and we went on a hunt to try and find the items.
We began thinking about holidays and different places we would like to visit in the world. We used the iPads to find pictures of the different holiday destinations.
We completed our writing task, where we shared where we would like to visit giving reason for our choice. We enjoyed reading our work to the rest of the class. Primary 2 also created posters of their favourite holiday destinations to display in our ‘Beach Shop’.
