As part of the Scottish curriculum, primary 6 had a very interesting afternoon learning about the development of the human body. We learned about puberty and the changes that happens for boys and girls during this time, as well as discussing the correct terminology to use. We had a lot of giggles along the way, but I am so impressed at how mature everyone was and I am proud of you all!
We have a new prize added to our raffle nik makeup artist has contributed a kids Pamper Party 🎉 (for five children). We will continue to sell tickets next week and will announce winners on Friday 18th May. Fingers crossed 🤞
Prizes are as follows:
Pandemonium Family Day Pass
Children’s Pamper Party
Selection of Children’s Books
Good luck 🤞
Big thank you to Craig and Logan for hosting Cochrane Castle’s eco fashion show 2018. The boys had the crowds cheering and laughing with their great entertainment.
The judges were so impressed with all the amazing costumes made from recycled materials.
Primary 1 kicked the show off and looked fabulous!
Primary 5 loved strutting down the catwalk.
Primary 3 were on third and got the audience clapping and cheering.
Although primary 7 only had 3 participants the outfits had the rest of their class rise to their feet.
Up next was primary 4 with their creative but wonderful outfits.
Primary 2 knew how to work and stage and were wowing the judges with their cute moves.
Primary 6 done a great job of ending our show and proved how talented they all are.
Really some of the staff stole the show with their super clothing and special runway walks.
It was a tricky decision but the judges finally announced our fantastic winners from each class. Well done to all the children that took part in creating those fabulous creative outfits. We are so proud.

Thank you to all who came to our Fairtrade Coffee Afternoon. The children enjoyed performing for you and we managed to raise £40 for our Fairtrade Charity.
After being snowed off last week we are happy to let you know we will be running our events in school for World Book Day on Monday 12th March.
If your child would like to come to school dressed up as their favourite character from a story they are more than welcome to do so.
Primary 1 and 2 are also being asked to pack their pyjamas and favourite teddy into their bags for their afternoon celebration!
Thank you for all your support (and hopefully we won’t have any more snow disruption!)
On Friday 9th March we will be hosting a Fairtrade Coffee Afternoon ☕️ All family and friends are welcome to the event. The event will start at 1.45pm. During the event some children from each class will attend to spread their Fairtrade message. We hope to see you all there!
Christmas is fast approaching and many cards have been given out to wish you a Merry Christmas! However, in January we are asking you don’t put your cards straight into the bin. Cochrane Castle and St David’s outdoor learning group will be collecting all your used Christmas cards for recycling to help us gain The Green Tree award. We thank you in advance for your support,
The outdoor learning community group.
