Good morning Primary 3! Today is a bit sad as it should have been our last day of school. I would have loved to be at school with you all, spending time together and hearing about your plans for the summer holidays. It is also a bit sad as it is the last day for me as your teacher. I have loved watching you grow so much this past year and I am very sorry that our time together was cut short. I know you will go on to do amazingly in p4. Thank you so much to all of you and your wonderful parents for welcoming me into your lovely school and for all of the ongoing support in your home learning due to Coronavirus. You are all such special boys and girls 💓😊 I have enjoyed getting to know you all and I have been so proud to be your teacher this year. I hope you all have a great summer…I know you will all continue to shine bright in p4 🌟 remember to leave a little sparkle wherever you go ✨🌈

Good morning Primary 3!! This morning in your orange writing jotter I would like you to write about where you would all like to go and why. It’s a very strange time for us all right now and there are lots of places we would all like to be able to visit. It can be either a holiday destination like the beach or caravan, going somewhere on a plane, or even just back at your favourite after school or weekend activity.
Next it’s reading time. 📚📚📚
Master Minds – your book this week is The Pirate and Potter Family: Set Sail for School
Clever Cookies – your book is All about Mummies
Super Stars – your book is Planet Emerald
Whizz Kids – your book is Splash!
Please answer the questions in the story by clicking on the bugs.😁
For maths today – I would like you to practise those multiplication skills by playing hit the button on topmarks. If you would like an extra challenge then you can practise a tunes table that you find tricky in your maths jotter. 🧮😁

In your orange jotter you can write the full date at the top and try this job. Please copy out each word and draw a picture to go with each word. Then I would like you to practise the spelling by playing 3 spelling games. If you would like to challenge yourself try writing a sentence using each of the words.

If you would like to challenge yourself you could write me a story using some of the words as inspiration! 😁
For maths we are looking at capacity and volume again. Further details are on the class dojo. Circles, triangles and squares your jobs are below. Please try these in your green jotter with the short date at the top 8.6.20
Good morning rockets group!! This morning you are going to be looking at plurals. This means when you have more than one of something.
Please watch https://youtu.be/RhPubTi8GHQ
A plural means when you have more than one of something – so you would say ‘I have a brush’ you wouldn’t say ‘I have two brush’ – you turn it into a plural by adding es onto brush to make the word brushes. There are a lot of words which can be made into plurals by adding es. Your job this morning is to turn the words from singular into plural by adding es. The example above shows the first one has been done for you. I would like you to to try this with the words;
wish, dish, crash, brush
Church, bunch, catch, ditch
Dress, kiss, pass, class, Box, fox, six, fixYou can do this in your orange jotter with the full date at the top 🙂 Wednesday 3rd June 2020
Good morning Stars groups!! This morning you are going to be looking at plurals. You are going to be changing words that have an f in them to ‘ves’ to show that there are more than one. I have two worksheets here – both are the same task, so DON’T do both pages, but the second one is a bit trickier, if you would like a challenge please do the second one! 😉☺️
For maths today – I would like YOU to think 🤔 about a times table you find tricky. Go to www.topmarks.co.uk, click multiplication and division from the selection at the top and play hit the button with a times table that you would like to get better at ☺️
How is it June already?! Hope all of my P3 have had a lovely weekend enjoying this weather and ready to get learning!!
Good morning rockets group! This morning you are going to be learning words with nk in them.
Please watch https://youtu.be/7_c8RCjU8_g
Your ten spelling words are; ink, pink, sink, drink, blink, think, shrink, thank, trunk, rink.
Please practise each of the words by copying them in your neatest handwriting and drawing a picture to go with it – with the full date at the top of the page. You can then play 3 spelling games with each word to help you remember the spelling pattern. If you would like an extra challenge you can make up a sentence using each word.
Good morning stars group!! This morning you are going to be looking at tricking words with the ‘ei’ spelling in them. This can be a tricky one because it sounds like there should be a ‘ay’ in the word because of how it sounds – but you need to remember to use ei. For example if you are talking about how heavy something is, it is spelled weigh, not way. Although it sounds like there is ‘ay’ in the word.
Please write the full date at the top of the page, copy out each of the words and write me your own sentence using each word. You can also draw a picture to go with each word. If you would like an extra challenge you could search books in your house and even look online for some more words with the ‘ei’ spelling in them 🙂
For maths – we are going to be revising number fact triangles again – just to help us learn all those tricky number bonds! Circles, please do numbers to 10. Triangles to 20 and Squares to 100. You can do this job in your green maths jotter with the short date at the top. 1.6.20. Remember to use a ruler to make those straight lines!
Hello Prinarry 3! Hope you are all having a lovely week so far. Good morning rockets group! This morning you are going to be looking at adverbs again. First of all I want you to imagine a day out or activity that you really enjoy. Let’s say it is the park. How would you get there? If you would walk to the park then walk is your verb – the doing word. Remember the adverb tells you a bit more about the verb. So how would you walk? Slowly? Hurriedly? Excitedly? These words are adverbs because they are describing how you would get there in more detail. If we learn what adverbs are and how to use them in a sentence then we can make our writing even more exciting!!😁
Next I would like you to read the story and see if you can pick out the adverb that fits in best from the list at the top. If you would like to challenge yourself then after completing this you could think of some things you like doing and see if you can come up with any sentences with adverbs in them. Please do this job in your orange jotter with the full date Wednesday 27th May 2020 at the top 😊
Stars group here is your literacy job for this morning – I have a challenge task for you to do. Please read the instructions carefully and try this in your orange jotter with the full date 27th May 2020 at the top 😊
