Please continue to write out your spelling words 3 times using SaCaWaC which I have explained to you in class. You should then write a sentence for each of your spelling rule\u00a0words concentrating on using interesting VCOP \u2013 vocabulary, connectives, openers and punctuation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lindaparry.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/reading.jpg\" width=\"154\" height=\"193\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Reading<\/b>: This term we will be completing\u00a0 a novel study \u2013 Danny the Champion of the World. As\u00a0discussed in class\u00a0there is no formal written homework to be completed for this. However, please remember if you do not complete the reading you will be unable to take part in the class lesson. Please read chapters\u00a0<b>5<\/b> and\u00a0<b>6<\/b> for<strong> Tuesday 24th Jan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you find any vocabulary that you are unsure of its meaning, please use a dictionary to find\u00a0out.\u00a0 Also take a note of it in your Book Detectives jotter, remembering\u00a0to take a note of the page number, and we\u00a0will discuss it in class.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/readingagency.org.uk\/children\/SL_KidsGroup_lores.jpg\" width=\"164\" height=\"182\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Personal Reading Challenge<\/strong>: As\u00a0discussed in class this challenge will be ongoing for the whole of this term. You now have 11 weeks of reading left. You have all set yourself a personal target based on the number of books you read last term. Your aim is now to reach that target or beat it! Remember it is the quality of the books you read that is important. Please choose carefully to ensure the books you are reading are at the correct level for you \u2013 not too easy or too hard. Please remember to bring your book to school as this will allow you to read it during our ERIC time.<\/p>\n<p>Please remember to record the books in your reading passport when you start a new book and complete your review when you finish it.
