In January, in Bishopton Primary, we focus on Scottish culture with classes learning about Robert Burns. \u00a0We also ask pupils to learn Scottish poems for our Burns Poem competition. \u00a0This week your child received their selection of poems. \u00a0They should choose 1 to learn for Monday 23rd January. \u00a0Each child will be asked to recite their poem in front of their class. \u00a0If they wish to be put forward for the school poetry competition they can go round different classes where a class winner will be chosen. \u00a0This winner is then put forward for our whole school assembly competition on Friday 27th January where an overall winner will be chosen for P1-3, P4 and P5, and P5-7.<\/p>\n
