You may be the lucky person who then represents our class at our annual Burns&#8217; Assembly on Friday 27th January.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">When presenting your poem you will be judged on the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Good, clear diction<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Pace<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">A good understanding of the poem<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Correct pronunciation of Scottish words<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Good facial and vocal expression conveying the sentiment of the poem<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Variation in pace and tone<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">A moderate amount of appropriate gesture if it comes naturally and if it enhances the poem<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Over-dramatisation should be avoided as this distracts the audience and detracts from the flow of words<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Please use the links below to see a\u00a0selection of poems to choose from if you wish.
