Good afternoon, I hope you have all enjoyed your weekend so far.\u00a0 Please read on for your homework and reminders for this week.<\/p>\n

Spelling<\/strong>: Due to this being a short week in class (remember you are out of class on Thursday for our European Language Day) we have suspended spelling for this week. Please practice your words from previous lists: especially those you may be getting wrong in our weekly spelling tests.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Book Detectives<\/strong>:\u00a0You have been given two weeks\u00a0<\/strong>to complete your next lot of reading and segments due to our European Language Day on Thursday and the holiday weekend. Please ensure you complete the reading of chapters 22-25 (inclusive)\u00a0and both your summariser and illustrator segments.<\/p>\n

Your summariser should include information from\u00a0all \u00a0<\/strong>of the chapters you have read. Please remember to include a short written explanation of your illustration. You should also record your favourite part you are going to read aloud to your group members and be prepared to discuss with them the reasons why you chose a particular part.<\/p>\n

This task is due for\u00a0Wednesday 28th September<\/strong>. Please ensure it is completed to allow you to take part in the class lesson.<\/p>\n

Maths<\/strong>:\u00a03 <\/strong>challenges have been set up on Mangahigh for you to complete. All<\/strong> games should be played. As always you should\u00a0try to achieve the highest medal you can. This task should be completed for\u00a0Thursday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Topic<\/strong>: Please remember to continue working on your personal project AFTER<\/strong> your weekly homework has been completed. You should also be taking time to practice your presentation in front of an audience. Ask someone at home to listen to you.<\/p>\n

Here are your reminders for the coming week.<\/p>\n

  1. As this is a short week you will only have P.E. on\u00a0Tuesday<\/strong>. Please remember to take your kit home to be washed.<\/li>\n
  2. Please remember to return your consent forms for our trip to Stirling Castle.<\/li>\n
  3. It is our House European Language day on\u00a0Thursday<\/strong>. It is a non-uniform day so please come to school in your house colours.<\/li>\n
  4. If you haven’t already done so please remember to cover your Literacy and Book Detective homework jotters.<\/li>\n
  5. It is a holiday weekend.\u00a0School closes at 3.15pm on\u00a0Thursday <\/strong>and reopens on Tuesday 27th.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
