Good\u00a0afternoon\u00a0everyone, I hope you\u00a0are enjoying your weekend.\u00a0 We have another busy week ahead of us. Please\u00a0continue reading for your homework and reminders.<\/p>\n

Spelling<\/strong>: Please complete\u00a0lists ch,\u00a0sh, th, <\/strong>or\u00a0a-e, <\/strong>in your spelling homework jotter for\u00a0Thursday<\/strong>. Please write out your spelling words 3 times using SaCaWaC in the same way as we do in class. Remember that part of this process is to check and correct<\/strong> your spelling words. Any corrections you have from last week should be completed as part of this week’s homework. You should then choose 6<\/b> spelling words you think you can write the best sentences for, and write an up levelled sentence for each of them. This week we are focusing on using interesting\u00a0openers in each sentence and I will be assessing your use of them. However, this does not mean I am not checking for ambitious vocabulary<\/strong> and fantastic connectives<\/strong> too. We are trying to use\u00a0all of\u00a0these to make your sentences the best they can be.<\/p>\n

Reading<\/b>: Your new core reader was\u00a0issued on Wednesday <\/strong>by Mrs. Livingstone.\u00a0\u00a0Please remember to read part of your\u00a0book\u00a0aloud to someone at home,\u00a0using expression where needed. Please\u00a0ask them to sign your diary to record that\u00a0they have heard you reading. You should have completed this task ready for your follow up activities with Mrs. Livingstone on Wednesday<\/b> 10th May.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Personal Reading Challenge<\/strong>: Once again you are taking on this challenge with enthusiasm. You now have\u00a07 weeks left\u00a0to reach (or beat!)\u00a0the target you set\u00a0yourselves this term\u00a0. Please remember to bring your book to school as this will allow you to read it during ERIC time. Please keep recording the books you have\u00a0completed this term\u00a0in your Reading Passports,\u00a0which is kept in class, \u00a0so you can see how close you are getting to your target.<\/p>\n

  1. P.E. will be on\u00a0Tuesday<\/strong> and Thursday\u00a0<\/strong>this week. Please ensure you have a full kit with you in school. We may go outside for P.E.\u00a0\u00a0therefore please remember to bring suitable clothing with you i.e. a jumper\u00a0and\/or a waterproof jacket. Please\u00a0also\u00a0make sure you have a bottle of water with you.<\/li>\n
  2. P5S will continue to hold their Fairtrade Tuck-shop every\u00a0Wednesday<\/strong>. If you\u00a0are wanting\u00a0to buy something, please remember to bring the exact<\/strong>\u00a0money to school if possible.\u00a0You can find the item prices here<\/span><\/u><\/a>.<\/li>\n
  3. For one of our topic tasks,\u00a0which we will be\u00a0working on\u00a0in a few weeks,\u00a0each group will\u00a0need 3 clean, plastic bottles. The bottles should be 1.75l or 2l. Please bring any you may have at home to school as soon as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
