NYOS\u00a0have extended\u00a0their application deadline for our Training Ensembles covering Strings, Wind, Brass and Percussion from Friday 28 April to Friday 26 May.<\/p>\n
The NYOS Training Ensemble programme is now in its third year and\u00a0they would like to reach out in particular to all brass, percussion and lower string players \u2013 also including viola and double bass students.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0training ensemble courses are for 8 to 14 year old musicians looking to develop further on their chosen instrument in an ensemble setting (ABRSM Grade 3 as a guide only and we also accept brass students from Grade 2 onwards).<\/p>\n
The courses focus on learning repertoire, ensemble playing, listening skills, posture and musicianship, along with advice on audition preparation.<\/p>\n
They would\u00a0also like to make you aware that student places are allocated on a first come first served basis and violin places are now currently full.<\/p>\n
