I hope you all had a great Easter holidays. \u00a0We have had a great first week back and have welcomed 2 new members into our class. \u00a0Thank you to all of the children for helping them settle in so well.<\/p>\n

Homework and news as follows:<\/p>\n

P2 Homework<\/p>\n

Spelling sound this week is wh as in whale and when.<\/p>\n

Reading books continue with our core readers. \u00a0Please try to read a little each night. \u00a0Please discuss the author and illustrator and the main events of the story.<\/p>\n

Maths homework will be an activity from our new Maths homework grid. (to be given out on Wednesday)<\/p>\n

We will be going over our target booklets this week and next week and setting new targets for the children.<\/p>\n

Primary 3 Homework<\/p>\n

Spelling sound will be words with ay sound – ai as in rain, brain. \u00a0ay as in stay and pay and a_e as in spade and made.<\/p>\n

Reading books continue with our core readers. \u00a0Please try to read a little each night. \u00a0Please discuss the author and illustrator and the main events of the story. \u00a0PLease also discuss their favourite part of the story and whether they would recommend the book.<\/p>\n

Maths homework will be looking at time.<\/p>\n

Other news<\/p>\n

On Monday we will have the Rookie rockstars practise starting. \u00a0We are looking forward to learning some new songs. \u00a0We will practise Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then they will be recording the school cd on Thursday.<\/p>\n

We have started out new topic which is looking at animals and habitats. \u00a0We will be having a visitor from the RSPB to come and speak to us very soon.<\/p>\n

Any outstanding library books to be returned as soon as possible please.<\/p>\n
