Good\u00a0afternoon\u00a0everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your first week back and have had a\u00a0lovely weekend. Please\u00a0continue reading for your homework and reminders.<\/p>\n

Spelling<\/strong>: Please complete\u00a0lists gh, ph\u00a0 <\/strong>or\u00a0el, il,\u00a0<\/strong>ey<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0in your spelling homework jotter for\u00a0Thursday<\/strong>. Please write out your spelling words 3 times using SaCaWaC in the same way as we do in class. Remember that part of this process is to check and correct<\/strong> your spelling words, too many of you handed in wrongly spelt words on Thursday. You should then choose 6<\/b> spelling words you think you can write the best sentences for, and write an up levelled sentence for each of them. This week we are again focusing on using amazing connectives <\/strong>in each sentence. Here are some examples for you to choose from: so, if, while, even though, because,\u00a0however and unless . Please include one in each of your sentences. Remember this does not mean you forget about using ambitious vocabulary<\/strong> too. We are trying to use both of these to make your sentences the best they can be.<\/p>\n

Reading<\/b>: As I posted last week you will be issued your new core readers later this week and I will explain your homework once they have been issued.<\/p>\n

Personal Reading Challenge<\/strong>: We have now re-started our Personal Reading Challenge.\u00a0You have 9 weeks left\u00a0to reach the target you set last week. Please remember to bring your book to school as this will allow you to read it during ERIC time. Keep recording the books you have read in your Reading Passports so you can see how close you are getting to your target.<\/p>\n

  1. P.E. will be on\u00a0Thursday\u00a0<\/strong>this week. Please ensure you have a full kit with you in school. We might have a second P.E. session outside (depending on the weather) therefore please remember to bring suitable clothing with you i.e. a jumper\u00a0and\/or a waterproof jacket. Please\u00a0also\u00a0make sure you have a bottle of water with you.<\/li>\n
  2. If you have not already done so please remember to return your forms for tickets to our Rookie Rockstars shows on\u00a0Tuesday 2nd May\u00a0<\/strong>(Eagles and Ospreys) and Wednesday 3rd May\u00a0<\/strong>(Hawks and Falcons).<\/li>\n
  3. P5S will continue to hold their Fairtrade Tuck-shop every\u00a0Wednesday<\/strong>. If you\u00a0are wanting\u00a0to buy something, please remember to bring the exact<\/strong>\u00a0money to school if possible.\u00a0You can find the item prices here<\/span><\/u><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
