Good morning\u00a0everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend. Well done to you all for working so hard last week – what a busy week that was! Keep reading for a note of this week’s homework and reminders.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Spelling<\/strong>: Please complete either unit 11 or unit 18 in your spelling jotter. You should copy out each word three times and complete a Creative Spelling activity using\u00a0ALL<\/strong> of your words. Please remember to complete any corrections from previous units.<\/p>\n

This task should be returned to school for Friday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Books Detectives:\u00a0<\/strong>Please read chapters 12-14 (inclusive) of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory<\/strong>. \u00a0Once you have completed your reading you should summarise what you have read. Next, choose your favourite part to draw. Once again you will be explaining your illustration to your group members so try to make it as detailed as possible. Please remember to choose a short paragraph from a section that you particularly enjoyed as you will be reading this aloud to your group during our next session.<\/p>\n

This task should be completed in your Book Detectives jotter for\u00a0Thursday 8th September<\/strong>. Please ensure you read your feedback from last week to help with your next steps.<\/p>\n

Maths<\/strong>: I have set up\u00a03\u00a0<\/strong>challenges on Mangahigh for you to complete. Please play each of the games and try to achieve the highest medal\u00a0you can.\u00a0If you are unable to access Mangahigh at home, you may use the IT Suite for 15 minutes at the start of lunchtime\u00a0or\u00a0<\/strong>I can give you worksheets to complete instead. This task is due for\u00a0Friday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Topic<\/strong>: \u00a0On Monday you will be issued with your Personal Project task sheet. This is a long-term project linked to our Scottish Wars of Independence topic that you will work on at home. You will have 4 weeks\u00a0<\/strong>to complete your project. \u00a0We will go over the details on Monday in class.<\/p>\n

The task sheet will also be posted on the blog.<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0P.E. will be on\u00a0Tuesday and Friday<\/strong>. Please ensure you have a full kit with you: change of t-shirt, shorts and trainers.<\/li>\n
  2. Last week you were issued with your data check form.\u00a0This should be returned to school as soon as possible.<\/li>\n
  3. Please remember to have a suitable outdoor jacket for our Daily Mile sessions. You may bring a light raincoat and leave it at school if you wish.<\/li>\n
  4. Please remember to show someone at home our class blog so they can see just what you get up to each day. \u00a0I have posted quite a few photographs over the last week.\u00a0They, and you,\u00a0are more than welcome to leave a comment letting us know your thoughts.<\/li>\n
  5. Next week you will be issued with details of our Primary 5 trip to Stirling Castle. Forms should be returned to school as soon as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
