Good morning\u00a0everyone! I hope you have all had a lovely weekend so far. It is that time again so please keep reading for a note of your homework and reminders for this week.<\/p>\n

Spelling: <\/strong>\u00a0New spelling sheets will be issued this week. Units 1\u00a0and 30\u00a0should be completed for Friday.\u00a0<\/strong>As always, each word should be written out three times and an uplevelled sentence should be written for each spelling rule word. Please remember to consider your VCOP in each sentence.<\/p>\n This week we will be focusing on using more ambitious connectives<\/strong>\u00a0in each sentence: before, as well as, however, also, although and after. Try to include one in each sentence. This does not mean you forget about uplevelling your openers and vocabulary. We are trying to use all of these together to make your sentences wonderful.<\/p>\n Reading: \u00a0<\/strong>You have a new core reader to complete at home. Please complete the book\u00a0<\/strong>for\u00a0Thursday<\/strong>. There will be no written homework for this as all tasks will be completed in class. As always, if there is any vocabulary you are unsure of, please take a note of it and we will discuss it in class on Thursday.<\/p>\n Please remember to read\u00a0aloud to someone at home. A feedback sheet will be issued tomorrow (Monday<\/strong>) for the person you read to to complete, if possible. This should be returned to school on\u00a0Thursday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Personal Reading Challenge<\/strong>: We now have 3\u00a0weeks of reading left. You have set yourself a personal target based on the number of books read last term and the aim is to reach it (or beat it!) before the end of term.\u00a0Please remember to bring your book to school as this will allow you to read it during our ERIC sessions.<\/p>\n Please remember to record the books in your reading passport as you finish them. The passport is kept in class. Remember this is your record of the number of books you have read so far this term.<\/p>\n Maths:\u00a0<\/strong>Please complete the word problems for your group by\u00a0Friday<\/strong>.
