I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed some sunshine. \u00a0This week we will continue with our Spelling and Reading homework and Maths homework will begin on Wednesday. \u00a0We are focusing on Data Analysis in class so our homework will be looking at Venn diagrams.<\/p>\n

P2 Homework<\/p>\n

Spelling sound – ch complete activities as noted in front of homework jotter.<\/p>\n

Reading book – please read a little each night so that book is completed over the four nights Monday – Thursday.<\/p>\n

Maths homework – Complete Venn diagram.<\/p>\n

Although I check homework jotters and diaries each day, I understand if homework has to be completed on different nights according to clubs etc. \u00a0Just pop a wee note in the diary to let me know. \u00a0Thank you.<\/p>\n

P3 Homework<\/p>\n

Spelling sound – oy. \u00a0Please complete spelling tasks – Monday – copy our words twice again. \u00a0Tuesday – 3 sentences . \u00a0Wednesday – find 3 more words with same sound. \u00a0Thursday – practise words for quiz.<\/p>\n

Reading – new book this week. \u00a0Please spread pages out over 4 nights ensuring book is completed by Friday. \u00a0 Extra reading homework to go with their books will begin next week.<\/p>\n

Maths – Venn diagrams given out on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

In writing we are looking at diary writing and the pupils have started to write about their news in their writing jotters. \u00a0We are focusing on good openers such as – At the weekend, On Saturday, Yesterday. \u00a0This is completed on \u00a0Thursdays. \u00a0I would be grateful if over the course of the week parents could chat to their child about what they may write in their diary writing lesson on each Thursday.<\/p>\n

This week we will also be starting our new Topic. \u00a0We will be basing our Topic on the story – \u00a0The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch. \u00a0We hope to have a visit to the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution ) or possibly have visiting specialists come in to class if a trip is not possible. \u00a0We also hope to host an open afternoon for parents to come in and visit the class to see our work. \u00a0This will be closer to the end of Term 1. \u00a0We will keep you posted with any details.<\/p>\n
