Please\u00a0continue reading for your homework and reminders.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-CtuSNt7aEFg\/VTqyeWFUmJI\/AAAAAAAABj0\/Zbx2lWy011c\/s1600\/spelling.png\" width=\"280\" height=\"117\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Spelling<\/strong>: Please complete\u00a0lists\u00a0<strong>y<\/strong><b> for\u00a0ie<\/b>\u00a0or<strong>\u00a0er<\/strong>\u00a0in your spelling homework jotter for\u00a0<strong>Thursday<\/strong>. Please continue to write out your spelling words 3 times using SaCaWaC in the same way as we do in class. You should then write a sentence for each of your first 6 spelling words. We are again concentrating on the V of VCOP \u2013 <strong>vocabulary <\/strong>this week. You should be trying to have at least one <strong>wow word<\/strong> in each sentence (many of you should be\u00a0aiming for\u00a0more). I will again\u00a0be focusing on assessing your fabulous vocabulary.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lindaparry.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/reading.jpg\" width=\"154\" height=\"193\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Reading<\/b>: We are continuing with our novel study \u2013 Danny the Champion of the World. Please remember if you do not complete the reading you will be unable to take part in the class lesson. Please read chapters\u00a0<b>11<\/b> and\u00a0<b>12<\/b> for <strong>Wednesday 15th February.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If there are words\u00a0that you\u00a0don\u2019t understand please take a note of them in your Book Detectives jotter (remembering the page number)\u00a0and, if possible, use a dictionary to find\u00a0out their meaning\u00a0. We\u00a0will start our lesson by discussing\u00a0them in class.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/readingagency.org.uk\/children\/SL_KidsGroup_lores.jpg\" width=\"164\" height=\"182\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Personal Reading Challenge<\/strong>: Your challenge will be ongoing for the whole of this term (8 weeks left!). I have been really pleased to see so many of you recording your books in your reading passports, keep it up!!\u00a0 Please choose your books carefully to ensure they are at the correct level for you \u2013 not too easy or too hard. Remember you can bring your book to school as this will allow you to read it during our ERIC time.<\/p>\n<p><b>Listening &amp; Talking<\/b>: This term you have a solo presentation to complete. You have\u00a0<strong>3 weeks <\/strong>to plan, organise and prepare your presentation as you will be presenting in class on <strong>Tuesday 28th February<\/strong>. You will finish on\u00a0<strong>Thursday <\/strong>and return to school on\u00a0<strong>Wednesday 15th<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>For those of you who haven\u2019t already done so, please cover all your homework jotters. This helps to keep your jotters in good condition.<\/li>\n<li>Please remember to bring in an old shirt or tee-shirt which is big enough to cover your uniform during\u00a0our art activities (we will be working on some artwork\u00a0this week).\u00a0This can be left in school until the end of term\/session if you wish.\u00a0 Also any old newspapers would be great for covering your desk.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
