Spelling:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Units 25 and 32 should be completed this week. You should continue to copy each word out three\u00a0times in your spelling jotter. You should then write an uplevelled sentence (remembering to use interesting VCOP) for the six\u00a0spelling rule words. I have been very impressed with the openers<\/strong> being used in your sentences these last few weeks. Well done! I would also like you to consider how you could include some more ambitious connectives <\/strong>alongside these openers. This will make your sentences even more interesting!<\/p>\n This task should be completed by\u00a0Friday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Reading: \u00a0<\/strong>Please read chapters\u00a09\u00a0and\u00a010\u00a0of our class novel: The Borrowers. There is no written homework to be completed for this as it will be done in class. However,\u00a0please remember if you do not complete the reading you will be unable to participate in the class lesson. All reading should be completed for\u00a0Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n As discussed in class, if you come across any vocabulary that you are unsure of the definition, please use a dictionary to find this out. You may also take a note of it in your Book Detectives jotter (remember to take a note of the page number) and we can discuss it in class.<\/p>\n Personal Reading Challenge<\/strong>: We now have\u00a09 weeks (single figures)\u00a0of reading left. You have set yourself a personal target based on the number of books read last term and the aim is to reach it (or beat it!) before the end of term.\u00a0Please remember to bring your book to school as this will allow you to read it during our ERIC sessions.<\/p>\n Please remember to record the books in your reading passport as you finish them.
