Good Morning.

We made it!  Last day of term.  Can I just once again thank everyone for their hard work and determination to get through these difficult times.  Pupils, parents and staff have worked so hard to keep the learning going and maintain a sense of normality.  We are a great Team…

Remember to make some noise at 1 o’clock and watch the Blog for updates and videos.  Have a wonderful summer and see you all in August.

Good Morning.

Nearly there.  Another quick week.  I hope you are all enjoying the fun tasks set by the teachers this week.  There is a definite feeling of unwinding, mingled with anticipation for the new session. Hopefully the weather will be kind today, although it’s not looking very promising!

Have a good day.

I hope this finds you all well. We’re almost there.

In light of yesterday’s announcement, Mrs McNaught will keep the Blog up to date over the holidays with any further news.  Check in here for information.

Good morning.

What a busy day we had yesterday.  Our last P7 group were in school and all are off to visit Park Mains over the next couple of days. We wish them luck at this exciting time.  Our new P1s have been visiting us and keeping Mrs McLaren and the infant department very busy. It is so nice to see their excitement and welcome them to our school. Everyone will now have their class for next session. This is a special time for everyone, full of anticipation and enthusiasm. We are all looking forward to being back in school.

Enjoy this week’s activities and have a good day.

Good morning.

Friday again.  The weeks are disappearing.  We had our first group of P7s back yesterday and it was so nice to see them. We also said hello to our first set of new P1s.  Wecome to Bishopton Primary. Different circumstances with Social Distancing but we managed fine.

The count down to the end of term is now well and truly on so remember to do what you can today.  Have a lovely weekend.

Good morning everyone.

Yesterday turned out to be nicer than expected so I hope you took advantage.  Remember not to stress over the tasks set by your teacher. We know all your circumstances are different and people will be able to access and complete the tasks at different rates and time. Do what you can, we are almost there! I believe Joe Wickes has cut back his times this week but there are lots of other sites available so get active and enjoy searching for inspiration.

Have a good day.

Good Morning.

Unfortunately the weather is not to be so nice today but I know you’ll keep yourselves busy indoors. Remember it is still important to keep in touch with your friends. Pop into the Chill Out zone and say hello and catch up. I’ve enjoyed seeing some of the Gifs and pictures you have posted there! The same good manners rules that we have in school apply but you know that already.

Have a lovely day.

Good Morning.

Not such a nice day today but the gardens will welcome the water.  I hope everyone is well and keeping busy. Having something planned to do is very important in these different days.  Remember not to work too hard and take regular breaks. Maybe a board game today!

Have a lovely day.

Good morning.

Another sunny day. Only 3 weeks until the end of term, how time flies!

I hope you are all keeping yourselves active.  We still have Joe Wickes each morning and I know lots of you are going out on family walks. It’s great that we have the opportunity to do this. Something good out of the bad. Have a lovely day.

I have to report that we have had an exceptional number of positive comments praising our Talent Show Stars! A great success. Well done to all of our entertaining finalists who did amazingly well. A plethora of talent.

Remember to watch your class posts this afternoon for the link to then talent show finalists. You’re in for a real treat.  What a talented bunch you are!

Good Morning – 3 June 2020

I hope this finds you all fit and well.

Today we have to thank our neighbour, Jim, for painting the bright and colourful rainbow on to our wall.  This symbol of hope and togetherness really brightens up our school and reminds us to look out for each other in these very challenging times.  Thank you so much Jim.

I hope you all manage to get outside and enjoy the outdoors today as well as the good work you continue to do online. Have a lovely day.

Good Morning everyone.  I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather.  We have been so lucky so far this year!

We continue to see wonderful work and I know Miss McDowall has been busy Tweeting some examples. Everyone is doing so well and  we continue to be delighted with the ability and creativity of our talented pupils.

Have a lovely day in the sun and remember to make the most of it.

Friday 29 May 2020

Good Morning All.

Friday again and another beautiful day! I have to report that I have been helping Miss McDowall with the Talent Show auditions and I am sincerely impressed.  We have so much talent in Bishopton Primary and some that I had no idea existed… Very well done to those of you who have entered.  I really don’t know how the judges will decide.  You are all winners.

Mr McAvoy and the other teachers are busy collating the Sports Day results. As Mrs McLaren said yesterday, another impressive event. We loved seeing your pictures and videos. As well as all your hard work, the teachers had great fun seeing how well you all did.

Fingers crossed for a sunny weekend and remember to use your sun cream, wear a hat and get out and enjoy this lovely weather.

Good morning everyone and welcome to our first ever virtual Sports Day.  Mr McAvoy has put together some fun and challenging activities, which we hope you all enjoy (parents too)! Remember to wear you house colours and send your completed score cards in to your class teacher. It has to be dry all day and the sun has to come out so have a great day.

Thursday 30th April 2020

Good Morning. I hope this finds you all safe and well.  It’s a pity that the weather has taken a downwards turn but hopefully we’ll see the sunshine again soon.

I have to say that I have really enjoyed popping in and out of your class Team Meetings, hearing your happy and cheerful voices and catching up with your news.  We are so lucky to have the modern technology to help us do that.  As always Mrs McNaught, Mrs McLaren and myself are so proud of how resilient and hard-working Bishopton Primary’s children are. We must also thank our parents for their continued support through these challenging times. Remember to check-in with your teacher each day and only do what you can. Don’t forget to have some fun!

Have a good day.

Scots Assemblies

As you know we have been working very hard on our Scots and Burns poems. Once again our arrangements will be Assembly for P1-3 in the lunch hall and P4-7 in the gym hall on Thursday 6 February. Our class winners will recite their poems and a panel of judges from the Parent Council for the infants, and from the Burns Federation for the upper school, will choose overall winners. The lucky winner from P1- 3, P4&5 and P6&7 will be awarded a trophy to hold for a year and the class winners a certificate. The infant winners will recite their winning poem at a later date to the upper school assembly and vice versa.

We would invite the children to wear something tartan on Thursday 6 February, if they have it, to help us celebrate Burns Day.

We are all looking forward to the performances and pictures will be posted on the school blog after the assembly.

Thank you once again for your support.
