London is the place to be,<\/p>\n
Everyone is feeling free,<\/p>\n
Enjoying the peace and quiet,<\/p>\n
Now it is just a riot.<\/p>\n
The air raid siren was a shock,<\/p>\n
Waking up the entire block,<\/p>\n
I wanted to get out of here,<\/p>\n
Because I knew the end could be near.<\/p>\n
Our city was a mess,<\/p>\n
The Nazis could do nothing less,<\/p>\n
It was all Hitler’s desire,<\/p>\n
Turning our city into fire.<\/p>\n
The government said I need to go,<\/p>\n
And stay there through the wind and snow,<\/p>\n
I need to live with a stranger,<\/p>\n
But at least I am not in danger.<\/p>\n
Now I am living here,<\/p>\n
And I have lost all of my fear,<\/p>\n
I hope that you will be OK,<\/p>\n
I must say, this has been a bad day.<\/p>\n
