Welcome to P7<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year our teacher is Mr Grant & Mrs McGhee.<\/p>\n

Our P.E. days are Wednesday & Thursday.<\/p>\n

On these days, please remember to come to school with appropriate P.E kit to change into and all jewellery removed. Also, those with long hair, please remember to bring a hair tie.<\/p>\n

Class Dojo<\/u><\/p>\n

Please join our class dojo to keep up to date with class news, photos and more! You can use dojo to view the points your child has been given and to view our class dojo story.<\/p>\n

Homework<\/u><\/p>\n

Homework will be issued weekly. Homework will be issued at the start of the week and should be completed by the end of the week. Homework diaries have log in details for various programmes to support learning.<\/p>\n

It is at your discretion if you wish to complete homework and submissions will no longer be recorded.\u00a0 Any time spent on learning at home is greatly appreciated!<\/p>\n

Reminder<\/u><\/p>\n

Please ensure that all items that your child brings to school are clearly marked with their name. This is very helpful if items get misplaced.<\/p>\n

Here are some of the exciting things we will be learning this term\u2026<\/p>\n

Literacy<\/u><\/p>\n

We are starting a Talk 4 Writing block on a Wishing Tale with a focus on building Setting. We will continue with guided reading sessions covering a range of reading skills throughout the term. Spelling input will happen on a Friday with daily top-up tasks throughout the week.<\/p>\n

Numeracy<\/u><\/p>\n

This term we will begin with Place Value and Number. Other subjects we will cover include: Estimating & Rounding, 2D\/3D Shape, Multiplication & Division. We will also do Number Talks and Times Tables Rockstars weekly.<\/p>\n

Health and Wellbeing<\/u><\/p>\n

In Primary 7 we are continuing with the Zones of Regulation programme from last session. Through this we will look at Social, Emotional and Mental wellbeing. We will also cover the Substance Misuse aspect of the curriculum.<\/p>\n

PE lessons will be conducted twice weekly. This term we are doing football, fitness and basketball.<\/p>\n

BGE<\/u><\/p>\n

We are covering a range of BGE subjects this term including, Global Goals, Digital Literacy, Cyber Resilience, Living Things, Artist study and World War 2 in Social Studies.<\/p>\n
