Remember once you have read a book, discuss the Three Sharings like we do in school. These are your likes and dislikes, connections to the story and any puzzles you may have thought of.
Please continue to refer to the guidance outlined on the app and below for Primary 3 learning during school closure and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you require further activities or worksheets. A blank timetable has been attached to the school app message this week to help you plan out your learning for the week. A good way to start the day is to take part in PE with Joe Wicks. He certainly wakens you up!

Sumdog can be played on google chrome as well as on the app and is tailored to individual children’s level of learning, repeating maths concepts they require more reinforcement in. You may find during school closures your child will have access to spelling and reading activities too.

9.30 am Pie Corbett provides literacy based games that can be played as talking / listening tasks or with a notepad. If you use a note pad you can follow on from the literacy games to create a more extended piece of writing. Most P3 pupils will need the support of an adult for this activity.
Your children will be familiar with this site from our Robot topic. There are many free activities they can participate in to work out instructions (algorithms) to complete steps in games. I have signed them up for a course they can work through too.
A fun way to learn keyboard skills…a useful skill for your child will build upon throughout their life.
