Welcome to Primary 5!
Our teachers are Mr Martindale ( on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and Mrs McGlinchey (on Thursday and Friday).
We warmly welcome you back to school following some months apart. In school, this term , we will be focusing on our Literacy and Numeracy and Health and Well being.
Weather permitting our PE (and some other lessons)will occur outdoors and we have regular access to outdoor areas on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. As already discussed by Mr Lyle children are advised to come to school with trainers/joggers or leggings and be prepared to have regular outdoor time. Which should also be good fun!
Our classes Health and Well being is fundamentally important to us all at this stage and through our Growth Mindset (Class Dojo) lessons and Paths and Mindfulness/Yoga we will be looking after our minds and encouraging each other to keep trying and give their best effort they can. Our children have coped brilliantly with their return to school so far and each day they come prepared to learn, take part positively and support each other. Thank you for this super effort every day!
During our return to school we have enjoyed our first themed day. On Friday we celebrated “Rainbow Day” to say thank you to everyone for all their efforts during this past few difficult months. Our children took part in making some super bright bunting for our classroom with some lovely messages of positivity which just made us all stop, think and smile!
We look forward to a happy, safe and interesting year together full of support, learning and creativity!
