Home learning activities are uploaded to Microsoft Teams. This can be accessed through Glow. There is further information on how to access Microsoft Teams in the ‘Remote Learning’ section of our website.
Learning tasks vary in terms of content and how they will be completed, however each week pupils in Primary 4 will receive Numeracy, Literacy and Writing tasks. These are outlined below:
3 Numeracy tasks – these tasks will be linked to the skills we have already covered in school. Where a new aspect of the skill is being explored further clarification will be provided.
-Spellings and Spelling Task – each week spellings will be set, following a set rule or pattern. Associated tasks will also be set which incorporate the use of the sound.
-2 Other Literacy Activities – these tasks will focus on the revision of other aspects of Literacy and/or be linked to the current class novel.
-1 piece of extended Writing – this task will focus on a specific style/genre of writing for that week.
All activities will be uploaded into ‘Assignments’ on the P4 Microsoft Team every Monday morning. Each document will be titled with the specific Week and the name of the task. An overview of the week’s tasks will be uploaded into each assignment along with an explanation of each individual task.
Once you have finished your activity, you can upload a picture or document showing your work to the specific Assignment and then hand it in using the Turn In feature. Mr Elliott will see your work and will send you feedback on the task you have completed.
