Our Journey
Over the past few years we have focused on fully embedding rights in all that we do, including our school vision, values and our newly transformed curriculum. We have established a community and ethos whereby all rights are valued collectively. All articles are explored with equally importance, in a natural teaching/learning environment and using a responsive planning approach. Being a rights respecting school has helped our Arkleston community to identify individual talents, uniqueness and character strengths such as resilience.
Please have a read at our Rights journey so far as we work towards our gold level award (again!)
“The rights of children and young people are fully embedded within our curriculum at Arkleston Primary School. As part of my role of Additional Support Needs Coordinator, it is vital that we respect and value the rights of all children and young people and offer support and guidance in a dignified and respectful manner. Alternative strategies are often sought to support our most vulnerable pupils ensuring fairness and equity for all, thus supporting all pupils to reach their full potential. Rights is at the heart of everything we stand for at Arkleston Primary School.”
