It is from the Greek <em>aeidein<\/em>, meaning to sing or chant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ffff\">Odes are traditionally written about one subject to glorify or praise and typically use emotions to do so.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ffff\">We&#8217;ve used <a style=\"color: #00ffff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.poetryfoundation.org\/poets\/frank-ohara\">Frank O&#8217;Hara<\/a>&#8216;s &#8216;<a style=\"color: #00ffff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.poemhunter.com\/poem\/today-279\/\">Today<\/a>&#8216; as a model for our own. If you want to have a go yourself try using a list of three of your favourite words and see what you come up with.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ffff\">Your poem will find its own rhythm \u2013 listen carefully to find it.
