JRSO

What is a JRSO?

JRSO stands for Junior Road Safety Officer.  Primary 6 pupils are appointed or selected for their primary school, usually for a two year period at Ruthvenfield.  JRSOs are supported in their schools by an Adult Co-ordinator, in this case Mrs Burke, the Headteacher.

The JRSOs and all their helpers are a huge help to the Road Safety Officer for the local area, as they help promote road safety issues within the school and local community.

What will our JRSOs do?

Over the year our JRSOs work with our Road Safety Officer (RSO) to make everyone in our school more aware of the dangers on the road.

There will be lots of fun things for pupils to do such as competitions, displays and assemblies and there will be different themes to work on during the year.
