{"id":1756,"date":"2021-01-22T10:31:26","date_gmt":"2021-01-22T10:31:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/pk\/poetryforall\/?page_id=1756"},"modified":"2021-01-22T10:34:32","modified_gmt":"2021-01-22T10:34:32","slug":"1756-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/pk\/poetryforall\/last-year-and-this-year\/1756-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Football is my passion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Football is my passion.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last year the virus appeared.<\/p>\n<p>Like a dark stormy wave<\/p>\n<p>Relentless and chilling, the fear of the unknown.<\/p>\n<p>Opened my eyes to a world of no colour.<\/p>\n<p>Death toll rising, sadness all around rules and restrictions creating a frown.<\/p>\n<p>Its for the best they say, protect our families, no\u00a0need for dismay.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Simple pleasure takes for granted.<\/p>\n<p>COVID-19 restrictions spreading fear and darkness.<\/p>\n<p>Families forced apart but always in the heart struggling and sadness, wish this were over.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Football is my passion, its power lifts me up.<\/p>\n<p>Games I have been missing, cancellations are in place.<\/p>\n<p>Fun with friends has been interrupted as the days go by<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year times are much the same, but glimmers of hope are flashing in my eyes.<\/p>\n<p>Will the vaccine bring hope, happiness, and brighter days so we sit and wait to what will become?<\/p>\n<p>Hot summer days, laughter and fun with friends hopefully on the way.<\/p>\n<p>Forever this will not be, surely freedom is on its way.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By liam<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 Football is my passion. \u00a0 Last year the virus appeared.
