I come from
little steps nursery playing with sand.
and from tall fences, playhouses and scooters.
I come from playing with cars on clean carpets
And going to grandma’s house climbing pear trees stone walls and pillars on the stairs.
I come from paddling pools with plastic rainbow balls
And from roundabouts snowman lolly’s and summer dresses .
I come from icy slopes wearing purple salopettes.
And Perth swimming lessons and frilly swim suits when I was 5.
I come from playing with my friends when I was young .
And arguing for the front of the line.
