A Life of Adventure

I come from the jokes of me and my mates and the laughter that we have,
from the tree that sits in the corner of the park loosing and growing leaves,
from the skatepark that never got old with jumps, rollers and bars.

I come from the road where I learnt to wheelie that seemed it never ended,
from the dreams and stories that I tell,
from trails that I shred and build higher like friendship.

I come from my home town that I know as if it was the back of my hand,
from the kindness of my family that were always there for me like friends,
from my grandad and all his support towards other people.

I come from the tears when my gran past on to a whole new world
from the cross of the Scottish flag were the highland cows stand and the mountains stride,
from red and white the team that grew inside me.

I come from the board that takes me down the snowy sheets of mountains,
I come from a life of adventure,
you only live once don’t waste it!
