AIR

I want to be thin air without a care,
Air is nothing nothing is air
I do not want to go to school so I will be wild air,

I want to disappear into the atmosphere,
fill a room without noticing I am there.
If you are air, you can do anything for free,
fly a kite, set a grenade, start World War 3,
if you are air, you are not a person,
and I do not want to be one.

Do not tell me to do maths,
air does not like maths.
Do not tell me to behave,
air cannot behave because it does not know how
there is no brain in air.
Do not tell air to go to school,
air will hate you.

I am going to be toxic air and will kill you,
if you inhale me
so you cannot be near me.

This is a really strong poem Jamie. The line, ‘fill a room without noticing I am there’, is brilliant. I hope you don’t start WW3 though 🙂

Very good, very nice. I like the line “I want to be thin air without a care” since it sort of has a rhyme feel [im being forced to write this]
