{"id":1229,"date":"2023-01-30T15:31:13","date_gmt":"2023-01-30T15:31:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/pk\/ouramazingpoems\/?page_id=1229"},"modified":"2023-01-30T19:37:28","modified_gmt":"2023-01-30T19:37:28","slug":"extinction","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/pk\/ouramazingpoems\/the-big-green-poetry-machine\/extinction\/","title":{"rendered":"Extinction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Who made polar bears?<br \/>\nWho made the black rhino, and the pygmy sloth?<br \/>\nWhy create these animals if their path leads to extinction?<br \/>\nWhy create this polar bear if their path leads to extinction?<br \/>\nThese polar bears I mean,<br \/>\nthe ones that are striving to survive,<br \/>\nthe ones that will not make it to tomorrow,<br \/>\nthe ones that are sinking into the water,<br \/>\nthat they are struggling to get out of,<br \/>\nsoon after getting engulfed by the ice cold flood,<br \/>\ntoo tired to fight.<\/p>\n<p>What if this was you?<br \/>\nWould you think differently?<\/p>\n<p>Now their hearts are pounding as they wait and wait<br \/>\nfor the big freeze.<br \/>\nNow they walk around for however long the ice will let them<br \/>\nlooking for something to eat.<\/p>\n<p>We have our home why cant they have theirs?<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t know why people wont listen.<br \/>\nI do know we&#8217;re due for a change.<\/p>\n<p>Tell me, will you help save these animals from extinction?<\/p>\n<p>By Ally (11)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who made polar bears?
