I Won’t Be Quiet

I want to be an African forest elephant,
stomping through the damp, wet rainforest,
calling to my elephant friends.

I want to be a Peaceful toucan,
stealing the tropical fruit from the other toucans,
and impressing the females in mating season.

I want to be a polar bear,
with snowy, thick hair,
and sharp, white teeth,

I want to be an Arctic Fox,
hunting lemming and share with family,
and facing the harsh winter in the Arctic.

I want to be a red squirrel,
leaping from tree to tree,
cracking hazelnuts.

Do not tell me to go to school,
we need to save the planet,
these poor animals are facing climate change.

Do not tell me to be quiet,
because of these poor animals.
We need to help the Planet now!!
