I want to be a flag, so I can fly majestically in the wind
I want to be a flag, so that people will salute to me
I want to be a flag, so people can exercise pride in their nation through me
I want to be a flag, so I can be carried into battle or carried in a parade and flown during the anthem
Don’t tell me to fear you
Don’t tell me to be scared of you
But most importantly I want to be a flag so I can fill the people I care about with pride.
