The Fields of Joy

I want to be a fox and not my mother’s perfect daughter.

I want to be a fox that always has the confidence and the ambition that will never fade away.

I want to be the fox that has the bravery and intelligence that it will be known for.

I want to be a fox that will run through the fields with joy.

I want to be a fox that will always be happy no matter what not like the girl she sees every day.

I want to be a fox that will never be hunted down so that she can live in freedom.

I want to be the fox that will sit at sunset until the sun goes down.

Don’t tell me it will be ok.

Don’t tell me what’s wrong or right.

Don’t tell me to do my hair like that.

Don’t tell me that I can’t do it, I can!

I will be a fox and I will chase every sunset you won’t beat me.
