Why do people not like dogs?
this dog, I mean
the one who gets excited when you’ve been gone for ages
the one who loves hugs
who grumps when you stop patting him
who barks at someone when they come to the door
now he goes running and bouncing for the ball
now his heart is going faster and faster
I don’t pay enough attention to my dog,
when I’m watching a movie
I don’t like it when he growls at me
tell me why he’s so crazy
how could I ever give up on him
