Why cant we live forever?
Why do people discard their dogs?
Why do dogs have shorter life spans than humans?
This is a dog, I mean my boxer Macy.
Who is staring at me with her big brown eyes.
Who is bolting along the grassy field.
Now she is giving my other dog a row for running away.
Now her tongue is out and her blunt teeth are visible.
I don’t know how she went downhill so fast.
I don’t know how she randomly developed brain tumours.
Tell me, why did it have to end this way?
