I want to be my cat,
Who lays everywhere,
And sleeps in her cat bed
I want to be my cat,
Meowing for her breakfast,
When it is 2 hours too early,
And coming up the stairs to see us,
When we are in bed eating biscuits,
I want to be my cat,
Catching mice,
And telling my mum it’s a present,
I want to be my cat,
When you feed me, I am happy,
And you won’t look for me,
I want to be my cat,
Everyone gives her cuddles,
And strokes her,
I want to be my cat,
Sleeping and eating,
And not going to school early,
Don’t tell me what to do at school
Don’t tell me to get out of bed,
I want to sleep for once,
I want to be my cat,
I am not going to wake up,
I am not going to put that mouse down,
I going to be my cat,
One day,
You’ll see me,

Hi Imogen, I really like the line that says “And coming up the stairs to see us, when we are up in bed eating biscuits” my dogs come all the time into my room when I am busy.
it is a very good poem I loved the sentence I want to be my cat, catching mice and telling my mum it’s a present. It was really funny 🙂
I like the last line and the don’t lines. I like how you described everything a cat does.
